A walk-able and bike-able Oneida County
The Oneida County Biking and Walking Trails Council, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to:
- Educating the public about health and physical activity, safety, and economic benefits of trails
- Educating the public about the essential components of trail development
- Building cooperation between partners to develop and maintain a comprehensive biking and walking trail network in Oneida County
- Assisting communities with all aspects of trail development including fundraising, grant-writing, meeting facilitation, landowner relations and public education
We are making Oneida County more walk-able and bike-able by developing trails, bike lanes, and sidewalks. Walk"able" and bike"able" communities improve the quality of life for everyone.
Whether it's an evening stroll, a noonday walk with a co-worker, a weekend family bike ride, or commuting to work, the availability of trails, bike lanes, and sidewalks help us to be active. Trails improve health, increase safety, enhance quality of life and contribute to economic development.
While progress is being made in Oneida County to develop more trails, we need your help to develop a coordinated and comprehensive system of bike and pedestrian paths that connect all of our communities.
